They are days of self proclaimed Western “friends” seeking to observe Zimbabwe’s electoral birth with the hidden intent of the Biblical Herod. They have feared indigenous Zimbabwe’s conception of economic rebirth, a threat to their economic domination, and would commit infanticide.
Yet we must not be troubled when we see such things come to pass. They are signs of times when a great nation prepares to cross its Red Sea, from economic enslavement to emancipated prosperity.
It is time when our indigenous majority must now conceive in Zimbabwe’s electoral womb a new Government whose DNA is hard-wired to indigenous aspirations, unadulterated by foreign economic interests.
In such times of hope, and fear, in times of anticipated peace yet lurking dangers, why then must we fall into the trap of engaging a foreign mid-wife, alien to genetic indigenous aspirations, to deliver the birth of our nation’s political first born in whom an entire people’s future must be invested?
British Ambassador to Zimbabwe, Deborah Bronnert, declared that only a European “well-trained observer team” can deliver from Zimbabwe’s electoral womb a legitimate government. Britain and the EU deem us to be without the potency and stamina to conceive our own Government. So we are told to have such matters left to the adulteration of their European kin.
With the seed of sanctions forced upon Zimbabwe to adulterate her electoral chamber they still hope for the birth of a bastardised government to whose birth pains they would play mid-wife.
They would be close enough, to be upon its throat in an act of infanticide should our new government’s first cry speak against Western interests.
They wish an act of genocide upon revolutionary lineage now birthing through indigenous economic veins. Our indigenous DNA evolves to the strain of economic emancipation. What do they know about the rituals of rukuvhute that they should want to be appointed mid-wives? Can we then leave their hand to direct the cutting of Zimbabwe’s umbilical cord that nurtures indigenous aspirations?
Shall we weaken our guard, now that they call themselves “Friends of Zimbabwe” and invite the vanguard of our struggle for economic emancipation, Zanu-PF, to dine after a decade of being barred from their Westminster table?
The EU and America now send emissaries to befriend those yet to be born from Zimbabwe’s electorate, now that they are forewarned by their intelligence and fortune tellers that the seed emerging stronger in Zimbabwe’s electoral current is Zanu-PF.
Their interests would dare not have a re-birthed Zanu-PF remembering, that once when it deliberated under the bright stars on matters of indigenous majority economic emancipation, Europe’s horde slithered under shadows of darkness to where the beauty of our nation lay, vulnerable to their intent to abort indigenous aspirations.
But what democracy does Britain and Europe wish to observe in Zimbabwe, when they have loathed the advocates of true democracy in the form of broad based economic empowerment? They could not stomach Robert Gabriel Mugabe’s ideology and policy, neither the military/security chiefs safeguarding our pursuit for economic democracy.
They would have rather smothered these economic democrats now to be surely re-birthed within a new government; have already sought to chain their endeavour for the nation with maintained sanctions. Their ill intent has long been evident in their USAid, DFIDs, Osisas, Cidas, through which these now so-called “Friends of Zimbabwe” have sought to fatten civil society and its NGOs to sing in loud opera against a Zimbabwe finding and asserting its indigenous self.
They are NGOs paid for, made alien to the plight of an impoverished and dispossessed indigenous majority who now go to the ballot with sanctions weighing against free expression of will.
These paid pipers that are our so-called human rights defenders still play no tune against the recent extension of sanctions against economic emancipation vanguard, Robert Mugabe and our Generals.
The so-called Zimbabwe Democracy Institute audaciously alleges we have something to hide when we deny the west observer status during our elections.
They think us so naïve to let foreign cats into our hen house with their ill intent upon vulnerable chicks that find shelter there? Then there is the Institute for Democracy in South Africa that ranks Zimbabwe the least democratic in Sadc.
For an institution claiming academic repute, how is its Zimbabwe Democracy Index not weighed upon by our majority’s economic aspirations and pursuit surely to prove us the most democratic in Sadc?
But how can they ever fathom such economic democracy, this South African institute in whose backyard economic apartheid and all its segregation is well alive and healthy.
And so these NGOs, internal and external, would want the west given observer status to ensure a bastardized government is safely delivered into our corridors of power, shielded from an incensed indigenous people that will surely not have the offspring of an adulterated womb forego our indigenous inheritance to foreign economic interests.
And yet despite these days when darkness is sought to be imposed upon what light the sun offers, be troubled not Zimbabwe. Understand NIEEBGATE to be a calculated attempt at infanticide against indigenisation before it is fully nurtured by a new government whose DNA is truly for its majority.
Let the treasonous and their foreign handlers celebrate empty noises only calculated to deafen any queries against Juice’s barren promise of economic prosperity. It is their grand election plan, daily orchestrated as news to save a Juice policy from being bragged to the town square to account for its adulterous affair with foreign interests.
And so the likes of Mawere, always prone to muddy personal matters with a national cause, believe they smell blood and obsessively write daily of it. Let them run with the wind, where lost senses see ghosts of NIEEBGATE, of Kasukuwere’s failure at indigenisation, of term sheets whose flogging they think will have gushing the blood of indigenisation. Let them be, awa watumwaka, but who send themselves kumawere.
NIEEBGATE has been a nose bleed to be wiped off, whose wanting blow has been shrugged off to allow focus on the real foe, Juice and its handlers.
NIEEBGATE was calculated to turn comrades upon each other, have them tire while the MDC-T quietly cheers, awaiting the opportune moment to introduce an always weak Juice from the shadows to confidently face a weakened indigenisation adversary.
They have long known the extent of indigenisation’s potent force. But do We who advocate for it? Do we foster indigenisation to regroup its strengths; in community trusts already delivering socio-economic and enterprise development and in employee trusts stirring hope within multitudes of weary workers long deprived by sanctions. The indigenous mass will surely rise in applause and urge it on.
It is true, that elections are only legitimized by democrats, those real democrats that rise to guarantee a majority’s aspirations and struggles. May Hugo Chavez rest in peace, that democrat who was bold enough to restore to Venezuela’s indigenous majority people their oil wealth and uplifted their socio-economic being!
It is a sad loss for Venezuela, one now inviting American vultures to circle above the limping nation. But then we saw on April 14, 2013 Venezuela’s majority rally with a 250 000 lead to win the election in the name of Chavez’s legacy of economic democracy. They overcame in the face of American machinations against an economically vulnerable post Chavez Venezuela.
The man Chavez, whom America and its gluttonous capitalism would have recorded as a dictator in history’s annals, is remembered by the majority of Venezuela’s electorate as a democrat who held fast to the civil and political reins they gave him in his life time to deliver on their socio-economic aspirations.
Let us draw lessons then as we must from the loss of a comrade, now that we find ourselves on a similar road when we too must assert our economic democracy. Let us learn to embrace those whose dictatorship is defined by their resolve to turn the state’s economic machinery in favour of the indigenous majority and not predatory foreign appetites.
Let those branded dictators for their boldness in harnessing the state’s civil and political authority to deliver upon our quest for economic democracy become our elected government appointed and delivered only by our own hands playing midwife. It will be a legitimate government, by the people and for their economic aspirations.
