Westia Group to youths’ rescue

The Westia Group is a black-owned Zimbabwean company and is an agent for a company called Zhauns, which creates business opportunities for small enterprises.
In a statement, Westia Group said given the current drive on indigenisation and youth empowerment, they have discovered a market for one of their products, which might be of great benefit to the local market.

“It is common knowledge that liquidity is hindering people from taking considerable positions provided by the empowerment opportunities availed by the Government. This is more so for the youth that do not have access to such amounts of funds. The group has therefore engineered a solution to this predicament, in the knowledge of the youth fund availed to youth and various other funds such SME Revolving Fund and international funding from institutions such as Afreximbank,” said the Westia Group.

“They have packaged their offering such that any youth or any people that desires a loan from the fund will instead get a machine, training in its use and working capital to start off the project,” said the Westia Group.
The group also said benefits of the programme include incredible profit potential, massive SME boost in the country, employment creation, access to protected and capital intensive industries on a small scale, training, low investment, imported inflation reduction and huge election clout, among other benefits.

“Investment needed is low. An investment of US$2 000 can fully capitalise a small profitable project such as nail making or brick making,” said a manager at the firm. As a leader in the market the group supplies a wide range of labels and labeling products to the industrial and retail sectors.
They also supply barcode scanners and portable data terminals, which are, require to read or scan barcodes.
