Working hard at getting a good education has long been seen as the right thing to do because education is the key to success.
But modern college life has seen hardworking being overridden by money and beauty.
College students take vital steps towards doing something that you really want to do, even if you are not yet sure of what this might be.
It is so important to realise the possibilities and the choices that are before you. Instead of wandering from boring academic work to boring results and living an unfulfilled life, you can, to a large extent, determine your future and do what you love.
The most loved thing at college are results.
Too many students go through life hating their academic work, never realising their potential, and never following any of their dreams, at times because they fail to exhibit their skills due to lack of seriousness.
The most interesting and frightening moment is when we wait for results. This is one of the hardest times we experience as students.
When college students begin college they experience pressure from multiple sources. And the most frustrating pressure comes from exams preparation and waiting for the results. Waiting for results gives students some torrid time in which such anxiety leads to depression. You only live once, and a college education can help you make the most out of your life. A successful college career requires years of hard work, and you can’t expect to be a success without devotion and sacrifice.
This is an unpleasant metaphor, but college is a sort of “weeding” process. People get good jobs in part because of how well they have proved themselves through their hard work and dedication in college. They have demonstrated that they have what it takes to succeed.
I firmly believe that most people can be successful in college and that the amount of hard work, dedication, and sacrifice is what separates those who are successful from those who are not. Make your education a top priority. However, despite the call for working hard, college still has lazy, playful, mischievous, unfocused, focused, among all types.
My concern this week is how some students end up scoring big grades yet they won’t be at school most times while some don’t even bother to write assignments but still attain better grades.
Last week I was engaged in a conversation where some students were discussing a fellow student who had passed a course work. They said the fellow student had not even put effort in writing assignments, and did not deserve such marks. In fact, they expected the student to fail since there was nothing to record.
One interesting thing they pointed out was her beauty and their conclusion made me think a bit.
I was thinking about something that I know and they concluded, that at least she is beautiful. Yet another discussion brought in the issue of using money for course work or anything to make sure the students graduated. It’s happening. Some students use money to cover their weaknesses. Money talks, so they say. Fellow students are using money to buy their academic success.
Either you have money or you have to work hard.
Fellow students, beauty and money are playing a magical role at college.
Money is always eager and ready to work for anyone who is ready to employ it while it is well-known that physical appearance is an important predictor for success in life.
As many students finalised their end of semester exams this week, results are beckoning and it will be one of the most difficult moments.
Results are always results and waiting for exam results can be a challenging experience, especially at the end of the semester.
Many people begin college but do not succeed at it. There are a limited number of good jobs out there, and college helps “weed out” the people who are unlikely ever to get those jobs. As just about anyone who has earned a college degree can tell you, there will be moments when you don’t think you can do it, moments when you doubt your ability to succeed. This is normal, but don’t let the doubts themselves defeat you.
We can’t be successful at everything, and you might face challenges that are too much for you but don’t work against yourself and let your doubts defeat you.
College brings a new environment, novel situations and different expectations, and in such comes a new wave of pressure, sometimes in a form that students are not accustomed to dealing with.
When students begin college they experience pressure from multiple sources and results also give them pressure. This pressure could lead to high anxiety and possibly even poor performance in classes.
These feelings are normal. Your fellow students are probably feeling the same way, so it is a good idea to talk to them about the experience.
Remember, if you fail an exam, you are not a failure — you are still a good student, just a good student who failed an exam. Sometimes, failing an exam means you have to repeat, and you will have plenty of time to prepare. But one most interesting thing about results and grades is how some attain them.
Yours truly understands what happens at college and some get their high grades through money and using beauty. If you think beauty is just for showcasing, at college it matters especially for some students who charm their lecturers in return for ‘other’ favours.
Of interest is also the monetary aspect where some students use their pockets to get marks or pass through the bridge of academics.
A lot has been said but fellow students’ issues of some getting better grades due to their beauty and money remains a mystery.
Getting to college we all expect to get to the finishing line but at times the struggle takes us down.
To deal with such a predicament, some of us resort to using our beauty and alternatively money.
The fear of failing, has forced many students to use the unorthodox means, some lure lecturers with money while some resort to beauty or sexual favours.
Most students are frightened to fail which might delay plans, but having to repeat is not the end of the world. Failing an exam may also lead to a change of direction to get to where you want to go, or it could open up a new path entirely.
There is always another way to achieve your goal, and that can only be achieved by working hard.
And saying goodbye at the end of every semester, should be marked by good results. How lucky it is to have something that makes it so hard to say goodbye.
We know what we are but not what we may be. If opportunity doesn’t come knocking, build your own door.
When you finally reach the finish line, you will realise it was worth being hard working.
Make your parting shot the best!
