WHEN the Jairos Jiri Association was founded in 1950, Highlanders Football Club was already 24 years old. At that time, Dynamos Football Club had not yet come into existence.
The Glamour Boys, as Dynamos are affectionately known, were formed 13 years later.
On Sunday afternoon, the two giants of Zimbabwean football came together for a match that combined entertainment with a noble cause.
Proceeds from the encounter will be directed to the Jairos Jiri Association, the pioneering organisation established by philanthropist Jairos Jiri to provide care, rehabilitation, and vocational training for people with disabilities.
Thousands of fans braved the gloomy, rain-soaked weather to support both their teams and the charitable mission, enjoying an afternoon of spirited football played in the name of compassion.
