Leaving a positive legacy is crucial, and our final moments should be better than our initial ones.
Having a positive reputation can also affect how other people view pupils. Studies have indicated that people with more common or “easier” names might unintentionally be given preference in professional and academic contexts.
The “namepronunciation effect” is a phenomenon that implies people with simpler names can have an easier time getting hired or getting admitted into academic programs.
Some students have created bad names to the extent that they become the laughingstock of society and college. One thing that students or this generation don’t realise is that, if you create a bad name, it will affect the whole clan.
Some have lost trust due to their bad character and in most cases it’s difficult to clear a name that has already been damaged.
In today’s fast-paced and highly competitive world, having a good name is often considered more valuable than material wealth.
There are many theories to this view and some will argue that riches are better than a good name. And some will say those with bad names are the ones making an impact.
Having a good name is important for students for several reasons.
A good name can positively impact a student’s academic and professional life, as well as their personal development.
It depends on where you are coming from but a good name is mostly valued. A good name is a reflection of one’s character, integrity, and reputation, which can open doors to numerous opportunities and pave the way for a successful and fulfilling life.
I believe most of the students are done with their final exams and once again I wish you the best to those who are completely done with their stages of academics.
It’s time to explore the aftermath of campus life while some still have a way to go. As always I write what I see and sometimes what I experience.
In nine days, we will be saying goodbye to 2023 and a new chapter beckons in 2024.
From the onset of this year, we had our expectations and targets, that much I wouldn’t know if you have achieved what you wanted in 2023.

This week I am descending on the importance of having a good name.Folks, the significance of a good name can lead to better riches in various aspects of life.
I just thought of sharing this, sometime last month, a certain student was attached to our workplace for work-related learning and after she completed, she just stopped coming to work.
No communication was rendered and everyone was surprised at how she failed to just say goodbye to the team.
Well, all the best to her new endeavours but my issue is on having a good name.
Imagine if one day if she wants a letter of confirmation or recommendation who will write the letter in good spirit for her?
Such a name has already been tainted. The same applies when you are at college, many students create bad names that have left them crying foul.
Many times, students have gone astray and become popular for wrongdoings that hurt their reputations.
A good name can also contribute to a student’s sense of identity and self-esteem.
Students with unique or culturally significant names may feel a stronger connection to their heritage and identity. Embracing one’s name can foster a sense of pride and confidence, which can positively impact a student’s overall well-being and mental health.
If you have a bad name it will be difficult for one to collect their results. A good name is a testament to one’s moral and ethical values, which are crucial in building strong relationships and fostering trust among peers.
