ZIMBABWE is a paradise for adventure lovers who crave extreme and exhilarating experiences. The country offers a variety of thrilling options that can test your nerves and satisfy your adventurous spirit.

Some of these options are very dangerous and have claimed lives, but that does not stop the thrill seekers from trying them. Here are some of the most popular adrenaline activities in Zimbabwe that you can try if you dare.
Devil’s Pool at Victoria Falls
Victoria Falls is the world’s largest waterfall, with a width of 1 708 metres and a height of 108 metres. At the edge of the falls, there is a natural pool called the Devil’s Pool, where erosion has created a barrier that prevents swimmers from plunging over the cliff. Adrenaline junkies enjoy lying on the rock ledge and gazing at the majestic view of the falls and the river below. The pool is only accessible during the dry season, from September to December, when the water level is low enough to be safe.

Crocodile cage diving at Victoria Falls
If you are not afraid of crocodiles, you can try crocodile cage diving at Victoria Falls. This involves getting into a cage and submerging into a pool full of crocodiles, where you can feed and observe the reptiles up close. You will be wearing a mask and a snorkel, and you will be protected by a metal cage. You will also have a guide who will assist you and ensure your safety. This is a unique and thrilling experience that will give you a new perspective on these ancient predators.
Bungee jumping at Victoria Falls and Nyanga Mountains
Bungee jumping is another activity that attracts the adventurous to Zimbabwe. It is mainly done at Victoria Falls and Nyanga Mountains, where the jumpers can reach heights of over 110 metres. At Victoria Falls, you can bungee jump from the bridge that connects Zimbabwe and Zambia and feel the rush of the wind and the water as you plunge towards the Zambezi River. At Nyanga Mountains, you can bungee jump from a platform that overlooks the scenic Mutarazi Falls, the second highest waterfall in Africa. Bungee jumping is a thrilling and exhilarating activity that will test your courage and give you a memorable experience.

Other adrenaline activities in Zimbabwe
There are many other adrenaline activities that you can try in Zimbabwe, such as white water rafting on the Zambezi River, where you can navigate the rapids and enjoy the scenery of the river gorge. There is zip lining across the Zambezi River, where you can glide over the water and enjoy the view of the Victoria Falls and the bridge.
One can go gorge swing at Victoria Falls, where you can swing from a platform and experience a free fall of 70 metres before swinging across the gorge. Or do a bit of skydiving over Victoria Falls, where you can jump from a plane and enjoy the aerial view of the falls and the river.

It you are scared of heights, you can go horse riding in Hwange National Park, where you can explore the wildlife and the landscape on horseback. If you are one that is not scared of taming the wild, elephant riding is available at the Wild Horizons Elephant Sanctuary, where you can interact with the gentle giants and learn about their conservation.@flora_sibanda
