Whither prophets of doom now that Team Zanu-PF has been vindicated?

Dr Sikhanyiso Duke Ndlovu
IN this God given precious life one must not be impervious to reason and sacrifice principle for expedience as what Kwame Nkrumah said and as constantly repeated by Comrade Robert Gabriel Mugabe. A Greek philosopher Aristotle said the men of reason are leaders and rulers, the men of passion and emotion cannot rule as they are not principled.

Before the 2013 harmonised elections we were treated to a feast of political hallucinations by the so-called intellectuals like Dr Ibbo Joseph Mandaza and his lot who were saying “Mugabe Can’t Win” (Daily News July 25, 2013) and that MDC-T had penetrated Zanu-PF strongholds in rural areas and that he would rig elections in MDC-T strongholds urban areas.

I exposed this lunacy treachery in the Herald.
Tsvangirai was misinformed by his handlers the imperialists and their megaphones into believing that he would win the elections.

He thus spent most of his time in Western imperialist capitals calling for sanctions so that the people would suffer and then turn away from Zanu-PF hoping that Tsvangirai would bring salvation to them.

Little did the prophets of doom know that Zimbabweans are not fools.
The so-called political analysts who deceived Tsvangirai to the extent of challenging President Mugabe’s resounding election victory of 61, 09 percent to Tsvangirai’s 33,94 percent should now leave President Mugabe and Team Zanu-PF in peace.

They must let the glamorous swearing-in take place with the national and international pomp and dignity it deserves.
The so-called private media must not continue to confuse the public by now forming their newspaper ill conceived “Cabinet” for the President.

Little do they know that cabinet appointments are the sole prerogative of the President without external influences.  The blinkered political analysts cannot learn from Nathaniel Manheru, Tafataona Mahoso, Caesar Zvayi, the young Psychology Maziwisa, Dr Lawton Hikwa of NUST and Danny Masukuma who are well read and correctly socio-political analysts.

Those political analysts were not part of us in the liberation struggle but are beneficiaries of the liberation struggle, beneficiaries of Comrade Mugabe’s and Nkomo’s sacrifices and all the fallen heroes’ sacrifices in detention and prisons incarcerated by the same imperialists and colonialists who are now their paymasters.

They are free to write and dream in a peaceful independent Zimbabwe.
They should learn from patriotic journalists like Willie Dzawanda Musarurwa who continued journalism with myself and Dr Joshua Nkomo and Josiah Chinamano in Gonakudzingwa detention in 1964 and in ZIPRA Zambia in 1977 till independence and as editor of The Herald and Sunday Mail after independence.

I would like to urge opponents to Comrade Mugabe and Team Zanu-PF to turn a new leaf and join in the implementation of the Zanu-PF Government policies for Development and Indigenisation and Educational Infrastructure Development, Tertiary and University dynamic growth. Some of them are products of these institutions.

They need to join the President and all peace loving patriotic Zimbabweans in calling for the lifting of illegal sanctions on Zimbabwe.
The sanctions were instigated by MDC-T following the regime change agenda of the British Westminster Foundation which funded it. I am calling on the MDC-T to   join the rest of the nation in celebrating the peoples’  refusal  to return Zimbabwe to the colonialists.

Tsvangirai must stop denouncing the Constitutional Court the most important Third Pillar of Government.
He cannot put in disrepute respected judges nationally and internationally.

The political analysts who have been proven wrong by the actual turn of events of President Mugabe and Team Zanu-PF’s resounding victory should join the team of disciplined critical thinkers in the National Council for Excellence in critical Thinking.

They should join other patriotic journalists in the fourth branch of Government to build this our great nation Zimbabwe which was born out of the armed struggle  and blood of our brothers, sisters and children.

Dr Sikhanyiso Duke Ndlovu is the Zanu-PF National Secretary for Education and former political detainee in Gonakudzingwa.
