Mirror, mirror on the wall, who is the fairest amongst them all?
The battle lines have been drawn and the contestants for the Miss Zimbabwe Queen beauty pageant are ready.
The stage including the red carpet booth have already been set.
All roads tomorrow will lead to the Harare International Conference Centre tomorrow where a bevy of beauties are competing for the coveted inaugural title of the Miss Zimbabwe Queen.
Set to start at 6pm, with a red carpet live streaming courtesy of Gateway Streams, the show will see 12 finalist strutting their stuff on the ramp.
The finalists are Tatenda Manungo, Gina Mutemeri, Chipo Pangoline Chigwende, Stacy Hall, Tamia Tanatswa Chawaguta, Anelisiwe Ndebele, Sakhile Dube, Charlotte Muziri, Elizabeth Gunda, Lyshanda Moyas, Samantha Manhenga and Oniesha Tadiwa Chuma.
The glitz and glam event will be hosted by Brita Maselethulini and seasoned media personality Tich Mataz. Entertainment will be provided by Jah Prayzah, Enzo Ishall, Trevor Dongo and dancer John Cole.
In an interview, one of the founder members of the pageant and former beauty queen Tendai Hunda, said she was happy that the day had finally arrived.
“Hard work has paid off. The day has finally arrived and it is a golden opportunity for us as models,” she said.
“We have been planning for this for the past two years and we are happy that we are going to produce the best girls who will represent us at global stage. We are going to crown five girls.”
Hunda said Miss Zimbabwe Queen was different from Miss Zimbabwe World, allaying fears that they had rebranded Miss Zimbabwe World.
“It is a different pageant altogether,” she said. “We are not in any competition with anyone.”
