‘Wi-Fi Home and Away’ goes mobile

TelOne has unveiled new service capabilities, Wi-Fi Home and Away and Pre-Paid Voice Bundles. This is a development that is coming as part of the National Broadband project, which is bringing up-to-date capabilities on the TelOne network to give more to the clients. Wi-Fi Home and Away is a capability that enables TelOne home broadband customers to use their home credentials to access service at any of more than 200 TelOne Wi-Fi hot spots countrywide, making the TelOne home broadband mobile.

The service will be further strengthened as TelOne is set to increase their hotspots to over 600 by year end. Through Wifi Home and Away, TelOne clients can now enjoy the flexibility and convenience of using the same bundle at home and away thus stretching the value of their money. To register for the service, clients can visit https://selfservice.telone.co.zw/, click the wifi sharing link and follow the easy steps.

Pre-Paid Voice Bundles Under the National Broadband Project, TelOne clients are being migrated to pre-paid voice. At least 90 exchanges around the country have already been migrated. Pre-paid voice bundles have been introduced to support the uptake and usage of pre-paid voice, seeing voice tariffs going down by as much as 80 percent.

With the voice bundles, on-net calls have gone down from 5 cents to less than 1 cent per minute and mobile calls down from 16 cents to 4 cents per minute. Prepaid Voice means that clients should now recharge their phones before they make a call using prepaid recharge vouchers and recharging is done by simply dialling 216 and following the 3 three easy steps through the interactive voice response facility. TelOne Voice bundles can be recharged through the Self-Service portal on the following link https://selfservice.telone.co.zw. Simply click the Telpay tab followed by Prepaid voice tab.
