Prophet Uebert Angel has mourned businessman Wicknell Chivayo, describing him as more than a generous giver, as he had become part of his family.

In a condolence message following Chivayo’s death alongside his wife, Lucy Muteke, two pilots and his wife’s aide, Prophet Angel said the loss had left him struggling to find words to express his pain.

“I struggle to find the right words to express the pain of losing a man who was far more than a generous giver,” he said in a Facebook post.

“He became my family, someone whose presence, kindness, friendship and love left a lasting mark on my life, my family and the lives of so many people around the world.”

Prophet Angel said Chivayo’s generosity extended beyond the church to individuals, families, communities and causes.

“He understood that true wealth is measured by the lives we touch, people we lift and the difference we make while we are here,” he said.

“He gave millions in support of the work of the Lord, helping to advance its mission, strengthen its ministry and enable us to reach people who needed hope, encouragement, and practical support.”

Prophet Angel said Chivayo had also become close to his children.

“My kids called him uncle, and he truly became their uncle. He was involved in their lives, cared about what they were doing, and celebrated their achievements,” he said.

“He was part of their world. I don’t have the answers. But I know Jesus.”
