IT was domestic violence, more like rumble in the house!
A Filabusi man said the reason why he battered his wife, stripped her naked before tying her on the bed was because she grabbed and squeezed his testicles.
a�?Whenever we have an argument she would dive for my testicles, twist and squeeze them,a�? said Delani Ndlovu appearing before Filabusi resident magistrate Mzingaye Moyo.
On the day Ndlovu battered Faith Mguni leading to his arrest she had gone too far.
a�?On the day I tied her naked to the bed she had grabbed my testicles and squeeze them saying Ia��m useless in bed. I got angry and had to discipline her,a�? Ndlovu said.
He said he was tired of his wife who would at times go and sleep at her boyfrienda��s place whenever things heated up.
When Mguni took to the stand she narrated how miserable her marriage has been despite being the breadwinner.
a�?He used to hit me with open hands insulting me and accuse dme of sleeping around. Hea��sA� not appreciative even though I cater for his upkeep since he is not employed. I do everything to the extent of buying underwear for him,a�? she said before declaring that she was leaving him.
A medical report showing that Mguni suffered third degree injuries was produced in court.
Filabusi resident magistrate Mzingaye Moyo sentenced him to four months in prison which were wholly suspended on condition that he pays a fine of $500 by 30 November.
