POPULAR sungura musician Tendai ‘Tindo’ Ngwazi has been dragged to the Harare Civil Court by his wife, Estella Chinyama, over allegations of domestic violence.
Chinyama accused Ngwazi of physically and verbally abusing her, damaging household property and visiting her workplace with the intention of committing violence.
She was seeking a protection order, alleging that Ngwazi had subjected her to physical, verbal and emotional abuse.
The matter was heard before magistrate shton Dube, who granted the protection order by consent.
Under the order, Ngwazi was directed to desist from physically, verbally or emotionally abusing Chinyama.
He was also ordered not to visit her workplace for the purpose of committing violence or damaging household property.
The drama took another turn in court when Chinyama referred to Ngwazi as her husband, despite the musician saying the two had separated.
“I am shocked that she referred to me as her husband,” he said.
The protection order was granted after both parties consented to its terms.
