Wife killer convicted of murder

A man who fatally assaulted his wife during a domestic dispute has been convicted of murder.
Wellington Gwashure of Gocha Village in Mt Darwin killed Eustina Mutiwekuziva in October 2022 after she accused him of infidelity and tried to stop him from moving to his girlfriend’s house in the neighbouring village.

RELATED STORIES

Gwashure denied the murder charge when his trial began in the High Court before Justice Munamato Mutevedzi.

However, after a full trial, the court found Gwashure guilty of murder.

Gwashure is now awaiting sentencing.
