There is a place in the Bible where it says when the Queen of Sheba looked at the House of Solomon, what she saw there was wisdom.
I saw something in the word of God which amazed me, and I said to God this is too much. There is a scripture in the Bible which says everything that a man does seems right according to his own interpretation but God weighs the spirits (Proverbs 16;2). Everything you find yourself doing is the right thing to do according to your own interpretation but God has the ability to weigh. He has the gadget that weighs a spirit.
How can you weigh a spirit when you do not have density? That’s Proverbs 16 for you. I never knew that my spirit can be weighed in kilogrammes, in tonnes and in grams. I thought all of us are the same.
I thought all the members of our ministry are the same and yet God is saying I have that gadget that can take a man’s spirit and know how much you weigh. Imagine if you had that instrument before you choose a man of God. Imagine if you have that gadget before you join a ministry. The ability to weigh a man’s spirit. Some people’s spirits are lightweight and some are heavyweight.
When you begin to take charge of your spirit you know the right dreams to dream even if you are asleep. That calls for better kilogrammes in the spirit. You have to become a heavy weight in the spirit. When I saw this I sat down, could not believe it. Prior to that God is saying everything that a man would have done is good according to him, but thereafter the Lord comes to weigh the spirit which then explains why he or she is saying it is good. It’s all because of the size in the spirit.
If you are driving a broken car and you are convinced that broken car is a good thing, it is because of the weight of your spirit. That is how much you weigh in the spirit. If you would want to continue renting from one house to another house and you convince yourself that it is a normal exercise, it is coming from the weight of your spirit because everything that a man does and is convinced that he is doing the right thing, God goes further into weighing the spirit of a man and saying that’s why this guy thinks like this.
The problem is with the weight of his spirit. You are a lightweight in the spirit if you see yourself owning two beasts and you are content with that. It is because of the size of your spirit. In many of our Shona communities people name their cattle “Charuveki”, “Butsvumani” . . . but white people do not give names to their cattle. If you see yourself still giving names it’s a sure sign that you still have just but a few. The cattle are identified by their paddock. You have to become a heavyweight in the spirit.
Knowing what to choose whether you are awake or unconscious when you can make the right decisions it is coming from the size and weight of your spirit. When your spirit is heavy, when you are loaded in your spirit you do not always regret the decisions you make. You are stable and decent, anchored in the ground. The wisdom, is that part of a man that you cannot see there and there you need to take time and he will open it up to you.
Remember the Bible says through wisdom shall a house be built. Proverbs 24; 3 though referring to a physical house, the writer is not just talking about a physical house. He is talking about physical things, and even marriage, companies and businesses. Any structural thing for it to be established it requires wisdom. Let’s talk about a house, like I have already said some of you are renting. The feeling that you have is that it’s not the right thing for me to be doing this. You want to have your own place and some have done the drawing of the plans.
If building requires wisdom, what sort of a structure. I am not saying every building you have should be very big. Of the houses that you own one of them has to demonstrate the presence of wisdom. There is a place in the Bible where it says when the Queen of Sheba looked at the House of Solomon, what she saw there was wisdom. What is it that made Solomon to be attentive in the spirit? Very active and knowing what to ask even in a dream. What is that? How do I get to such levels? In the spirit even when I go to bed, my spirit is heavy-rooted grounded.
If you see a man going up in life and always going up and the rest are coming down it means there is a part of that man that you cannot see and you will never see it until he reveals it to you. I have seen people like that. If you see this man and he is your neighbour and he is building a house and it is beautiful and you also want to have a similar house, it is so easy to copy every other thing that you see because it is visible.
But there is a part of the house that you have to ask from the man which is the foundation. If you are going to buy an already established structure and move around with a property agent the only part of the house that you can see is the part you can see. You can take pictures and the beauty of that house is in the structural designs, the size of the rooms, the paintwork, but there is a part of that house that you will never view.
To a point that even if you want to copy the same plan you would have to ask for something that you cannot see. Which is the foundation of the man. If this man is going up in life and you look at him and see him going up every time, it’s not just the going up that you have to copy because before this man started going up he started by going down and how deep you go determines how high you go in life.
It’s very dangerous if you come across a man that you admire now, you have to enter into that person’s life and strike a conversation with that man and he will tell you the size of steel that he placed into the foundation. If you want to have the same thing in the same area, probably the soils are also the same, which require the same foundation.
There is a part that you cannot see which calls for spirituality for you to discern. What cannot be seen physically? To know how deep it goes before you admire how high it goes. Most of you people have made a mistake of admiring people because of what you have seen on the outside.
Get close to the man and let him open up to you. Most people have a deleted history and their track record is invisible and yet that is what is making them strong. Solomon is saying I want to have that grace to discern between what is good and evil because most of what is bad appears to be good.
That is also why most of us who are married made that decision because it appeared to be good. You look at something right now you admire it and you want to die for that person. You say I don’t mind if only I can marry this one. So if you make a decision before you are given the grace to discern you will buy it according to what you can see. You will buy a house because of the walls.
There are people who are specialists in decorating houses that have a faulty foundation. People can sell to you a house that has a faulty foundation, before selling they would simply the plaster walls and re-paint it. When you come you will find it well dressed with make-up, nails neatly done. Would you not marry? The most painful thing now is women also discovered that men do not have eyes that can see the foundation.
I am talking about the weight of the spirit! Why should you always be regretting after making decisions. Everything seems good before you choose it, what is that? We are going to be learning a lot of things from the man of wisdom himself.
