Wisrod Investments: Your Financial Partner

WISROD Investments (Pvt) Ltd is a registered microfinance company offering a range of financial services to informal traders in Zimbabwe.

Wisrod champions for the financial inclusion of the most disadvantaged and marginalised members of our society.

Wisrod has been participating in the National Financial Inclusion Strategy through the provision of financial assistance to Micro, Small to Medium Sized Enterprises (MSMEs) –primarily fruit and vegetable vendors, flea market vendors, tuck shops, and formalised entrepreneurs.

The empowerment and assistance of these MSMEs has helped in employment creation and poverty alleviation. Wisrod’s client base has been built over time through a very simple application process.

Wisrod has 34 branches, over 150 staff members and to date more than 100 000 MSMEs have accessed business loans, including vendor loans, hire purchase loans, motor vehicle loans, micro-housing loans, school fees loans and micro insurance among other financial services.

Each year, Wisrod disburses more than US$50 000 school fees loans resulting in many children managing to complete their education.

Due to limited disposable incomes, ordinary Zimbabweans have not been able to access affordable healthcare. In order to bridge the gap, the company launched The Wisrod Family HealthCare Clinic in Sakubva, Mutare.

The clinic offers a wide range of services, including consultations, minor surgical procedures and antenatal services. Wisrod dreams of expanding this project countrywide.

About 82 percent of Wisrod clients are women, which translates to women empowerment.

The company recently launched a Send Money platform that enables Zimbabweans to send money to friends, relatives and colleagues from city to city through our 34 branches.

It is Wisrod’s aim to become a world class and well diversified financial service company in the next eight years, offering affordable access to a wide range of appropriately designed financial products and services to MSMEs.
