“My child was attacked by Muchena on her way from school on Monday. She was accusing her of assaulting her child who is in primary school. The attack was so severe that she had to be reffered to Victoria Chitepo Provincial Hospital for management. She is recovering at home, and she is being assisted to do most things. She is not attending school,” said Mr Chifamba.

Muchena is expected to appear in court on Tuesday over the allegations.

Muchena admitted assaulting the learner, claiming she was the aggressor when she confronted her and other learners on why they had assaulted her daughter.

“My child came home with visible assault marks. She said she was assaulted by the secondary school girls. I made a follow-up and the girl wanted to beat me also. I slapped her on the hands and she fell down. I am appearing in court next week;” she said.
