IN a dramatic incident a married woman went overboard in verbally attacking her love rival telling her that her private part was torn apart, wide open because of sleeping with married men.
The mini-drama happened last week on Sunday at around 2pm near a bar at corner 6th Avenue and Joshua Mqabuko Nkomo Street.
It is said Cathrine Sibanda (40) was walking home from a church service when she saw her former boss (former maid)parked near the bar and headed to him.
While she was having a conversation with her former boss, Nontokozo Gumpo (43) arrived after a few minutes.
It is said all hell broke loose as a heated argument ensued between the two love rivals resulting in Nontokozo firing a salvo at Cathrine.
“Sifebe sothuvi. Your vagina is torn apart and wide open. You take after your mother who died prostituting. Go away,” the court heard.
Within minutes spectators had already gathered to watch a free drama unfolding before them.
Seeing that she was between a hard place and a rock Cathrine sprinted to Bulawayo Central Police Station and made a report. Nontokozo was arrested.
Nontokozo was arraigned before Bulawayo magistrate Amanda Ndlovu.
She pleaded not guilty to a criminal insult charge.
Nontokozo said: “ I know Cathrine as our former maid not wife of my husband. I am the one who is legally married to my husband.”
Cathrine said she is also his wife as they have stayed together for more than three months.
The magistrate remanded Nontokozo out of custody to next week on Monday.
