A Harare man appeared in court accusing his wife of hiring bouncers to track him everywhere he goes.
Glenns Masanga appeared at the Harare Civil Court seeking a protection order against his wife, Daisy Nyakudasira, for assaulting and hiring bouncers to follow him.
“She hires bouncers to follow me everywhere I go. People have been following me, and some bouncers have threatened to assault me. Yesterday she followed me the whole day. The conductor of a kombi l boarded confirmed, he tipped me that someone had been following me and instructed me to be alert.”
He also claimed that his wife physically and emotionally abuses him and threatens his life.
“On July 18, we fought, and she bit my hand. She threatened to cut me with a knife, pour hot water, and cooking oil. She tells me that l am not a man enough and she also tells me that l am mad and a drug addict.”
In response, Daisy hit back, claiming that Glenns is the aggressor and has been abusing her for years. She further said that he uses his power to silence her.
“He is the one who has been abusing me for the past eight years. He uses his position to get away with his actions. He is the one who assaulted me on July 18, and l got a black eye. He denies paternity of his child saying that l am a prostitute. I do not stalk him; l think he is under the influence of drugs because he is of ill health. He is the one who stalks and messages me of my whereabouts every day stating the exact place l will be at.”
Magistrate Meenal Naratom granted Glenns’ request for a protection order. The magistrate ordered the two to undergo DNA tests to clear the paternity doubts. (H Metro)
