Woman nabbed for infanticide

A woman aged 20 appeared before Harare Magistrate Court yesterday to answer charges of infanticide after she allegedly threw her two-weeks-old child into Epworth Quarry Dam resulting in the death of the child.

Anesu Netsai residing at 1106 Munyuki, Epworth appeared before magistrate Mrs Yeukai Dzuda today and the matter was stood down awaiting the investigations officer to testify to this matter. 

Netsai was remanded in custody.

She pleaded guilty to the charges.
