Women urged to claim stake in economy

Speaking to exhibitors at the annual closing day of Kuyedza women’s show at Morris Depot last week, Gender and Community Development Minister Olivia Muchena urged women to “think outside the box”.
The show, attended by people drawn from different provinces, was targeting wives of policemans, female officers, ex-members and police widows. Some of these women won prizes for showcasing their talents in areas that include crafting, baking and sewing.
Minister Muchena commended the women for taking historic achievements to greater economic heights. “This is a sustainable development and it is good for future generations,” said Minister Muchena.
