Women’s book launched

themselves in society by breaking down all the stereotypes attached to them, whether they are traditional, cultural, social, political, religious or economic.
Apostle Vutabwashe said he decided to write the book to help unleash the potential inherent in women.
He cited the likes of Zimbabwe’s first female Vice-President Cde Joice Mujuru as well as a number of female characters from the Bible as some of the people who have become an inspiration to women.
Apostle Vutabwashe said it was only by utilising their failures and challenges that women could be successful.
“I am calling upon every woman, be it in business, academics, politics or in the home to be what they can be and not reserve themselves. Why can’t you compose songs, write books, conduct seminars or preach in the church? Right now if you look carefully, the best cooks in most restaurants are men, why?
“Also, why should you give up on life because one person in a world of about seven billion people has run away from you?”
Zimbabwe Open University vice chancellor Dr Primrose Kurasha hailed Apostle Vutabwashe’s book as an eye-opener.
“The book is a call to us women to be what we ought to be. I feel challenged by this book and it reminds me that ours (women) is a complementary and not competing role to men.”
She said: “He (Apostle Vutabwashe) is giving us women our rightful place in society and he is also urging women not to downplay one another. An interesting part is when he cites some female characters in the Bible who achieved great things yet achievements were not recognised.”
A number of the book’s copies were sold at the launch while the first autographed copy was sold at US$300 after several bids.
Apostle Vutabwashe is a marketer, motivational speaker, lecturer and preacher. He founded Heartfelt International Ministries in November 2010.
