Preparations for a women’s breakfast meeting to be hosted by United Kingdom-based entrepreneur Maureen Mbondiah Mandipaza at a city hotel on September 1, 2017, are at an advanced stages.

The one day event will run under the theme; “Womanhood Global” and is founded by Mbondiah, an organisation that seeks to empower, educate and equip disadvantaged women in communities globally.

Ms Mandipaza told The Herald Business that preparations are at an advanced stage with key speakers confirming participation while tickets are already selling.

“This is your time to be impacted, inspired and be influenced,” she said.

The event, to positively impact women in business, is expected to attract approximately 100 influential local women.

“Some of the speakers include Tendayi Ndoro (UK based Financial Strategist Author and Coach) Florence Chaurura, (former UK based and now director of Winfit Services) and prophetess Collette Williams, (founder of EFMI Church in Zimbabwe),” she said.

Mandipaza said the aim of the business breakfast meeting is also to network and share ideas on how best it can develop the woman of Zimbabwe.

“This will also be an opportunity to bridge relationships and provide a networking opportunity for local and international business women.

“Womanhood Global has held such events in the United Kingdom before,” she said.

Mandipaza said she has a desire to empower women across the globe with workshops allowing them to be self-sufficient and reduce poverty.

“I have a burden to boost the confidence of women who find themselves in helpless situations of despair, poverty and discouragement.

I believe bringing women from across the globe despite their race, colour or background together with one voice is the start,” she said.

Mandipaza recently through her organization, successfully hosted a fundraising dinner that generated income to purchase over 10 sewing machines for women in rural Africa.
