WORK on the construction of the $500 000 Zimbabwe National Liberation War Veterans Association complex in Sanyati to incorporate a vocational training centre has begun. The complex is being constructed as part of initiatives by war veterans.
It will incorporate the Herbert Chitepo School of Ideology, which trains Zanu-PF cadres on the party’s ideals.

Bulldozers are already clearing the site while construction is already underway, with the ground breaking ceremony scheduled for July 1.

Speaking to The Herald during a tour of the site recently, ZNLWVA Mashonaland West provincial secretary for projects Cde Felix Dube said the construction was progressing well.

“The complex, which we are building in Sanyati, will now have part of it turned into a Vocational Training Centre under the Chitepo School of Ideology after a meeting recently with officials from the college,” he said.

The VTC will be offering various programmes and spearheading community projects that will help our youths as wells as war veterans and their children.
