‘Work in unity to achieve growth’

the chief executive of KM Financial Solutions Mr Kenias Mafukidze has said.

In a statement, he said the country must work in unity to achieve growth.

“As Zimbabweans we need to not only visualise but plan for where we must take this country over the next 30 years.

“The law of attraction dictates that we attract into our lives the kinds of things that we dream about. Where we will be in 2040 will be a manifestation of our collective thoughts leading up to 2040. All our lives today are a manifestation of our predominant thoughts over the last 20-30 years,” he said.

He said there was need for adoption and finalisation of a clear national vision incorporating and targeting the growth of the economy.

“The Zimbabwean economy has room for growth because there are many opportunities in various sectors of the industry that can attract investment.

“Also, as a country we have an advantage of readily available resources and manpower that if taken advantage of can turn around the economy,” Mr Mafukidze said.

He said following the formation of the inclusive government in early 2009, in less than 12 months the country saw a reversal of a decade-long economic decline, a sign that if as a country people have one economic goal, the economy will be transformed.

“This proved that growth is a decision that any nation takes on its own accord and there is need to stretch the imaginations of all leaders to visualise what Zimbabwe will be like in 2040, fifty years after its independence.

“We owe it to future generations not to plod without a plan and walk blindly into an unplanned future. The Japanese plan for 75 years on average that is why they have 10 percent of the world’s wealth yet they only have one percent of its population. We must therefore boldly plan our future as well so that we are not caught up in the plans of those who would have out-planned us.”

Mr Mafukidze called on businesses to support each other as well as come up with business ideas and strategies that enhanced growth of the economy.

“Growth is possible but it needs creativity and hard work both from the national level and Governmental level as each part has a play,” he said.
