Goromonzi North National Assembly member Ozias Bvute has commended Government for introducing the competence based curriculum in schools, which he says is producing success stories. He said this at the ground-breaking ceremony and official opening of state-of-the-art science Laboratory at Salvation Army-run Chinyika High School in Goromonzi.

“I want to thank our Government for introducing the new curriculum because it seeks to empower all types of students both with intellectual ability and physical ability,” he said.

“We are humbled by the works of the school head and we worked tirelessly to upgrade Chinyika Secondary School to a high school. “Most of the development works that have been done last year, they speak progress and a bright future.

“I’m confident that the school will continue to grow with the support of the church together with the surrounding community.

Chinyika High School head Mr Evermore Chakwizira said the school’s development was a result of self-sustenance of operations from revenue generated through internal projects.

“There is a massive improvement at this school and l thank the parents together with the church for their efforts,” he said.

“We are working tirelessly to make sure that our school compete with other big schools like Goromonzi High School.

“Through our projects such as poultry, farming and sewing uniforms internally we have managed to generate our income,” he said.
