NEWLY reappointed Black Rhinos coach, Nesbert “Yabo” Saruchera is confident of leading the army’s flagship football side back into the Premiership in 2025.

Black Rhinos, who were relegated on the final day of the season, will seek to bounce back into the top flight at the end of the 2024 Northern Region Division One season.

In what promises to be a tough challenge, Black Rhinos will battle it out for a place in the top flight with the likes of Mwoos FC, Harare City and Black Mambas.

But despite the stiff completion that army side will face, Yabo is confident that the army side will be part of the Premiership after just one season. “I am happy to be back and I have been missing the Black Rhinos family for a long time now. “And I feel that there is a big task ahead of us as you are aware that the team must make a re-turn to the Premiership at the start of the 2025 season hence there is need for us to work very hard as team to realise our main objective this season in the Northern Region Division One,” said Saruchera.

They will seek to build a strong squad in a process that will include getting some of the best players from Black Rhinos’ sister clubs

“We are going to make sure that we assemble a very strong side and we will look elsewhere especially at our sister clubs and make sure that we assemble a very strong Black Rhinos team that will compete for promotion.
