YADAH, affectionately known as the Miracle Boys, secured their return into the top-flight league after a battling 2-1 victory over Masvingo United at Heart Stadium on Wednesday.
GreenFuel will host Yadah FC tomorrow (Saturday) at the GreenFuel Arena in Chisumbanje, in a match whose result will no longer have any effect to the promotion race after the Harare-based side ensured that they snatch it with one league match to spare.
Despite their closest rivals, Deportivo La Murambinda, beating Buffaloes 2-0 at Mutare Showgrounds on the same day, the Walter Magaya-bankrolled outfit are the champions, and now have an unassailable 79.
La Murambinda finished the season in second place with 77 points.
The end to the 2026 Pacific Storm Eastern Region season will see other championship aspirants – GreenFuel and Tenax CS FC – getting back to the drawing board, trying to make yet another attempt to return to the Castle Lager Premiership in 2028.
However, the two teams will have to deal with stiff competition from equally determined teams such as Triangle who were relegated from the top-flight league this year.
Triangle chairman, Cherechedzai Murare, said they are geared for the 2027 ZIFA Eastern Region Division One campaign with the aim of making a quick return to the Premiership.
“Triangle United FC is fully geared for the 2027 ZIFA Eastern Region Division One campaign. Our objective is very clear: To win promotion back to the Premier Soccer League at the first attempt – and come back with a bang.
“We are not going to Division One to participate. We are going to compete and dominate. We have the infrastructure, very strong backing sponsorship, and have the Sugar Sugar Boys spirit that never dies.
“I call upon our supporters and fans to stand with us during this campaign.
“Your support will be even more important in Division One.
“Lastly, every great club faces a setback. What defines us is how we bounce back. Triangle United FC will be redefined and be back in the PSL where we belong,” he said.
