Upcoming talented fashion designer Edmore Chagonda is set to take the fashion industry by storm with his outstanding show designs. The young man has added shoe designing to his artistic line that includes fabric designing and music.
He has done designer wear for various prominent people in the country. In an interview Edmore Chagonda shed more light on his journey and transformation in the fashion industry.
“I have love for fashion and I have done many fashion designs ranging from bridal wear, urban wear, Afro- centric, formal and casual wear. I am now venturing into shoes with a friend of mine, Owen Tafirenyika, who has vast experience in shoe making,” said Edmore.
During the recent Fashion Week Edmore put his new interest to test when he made a pair of shoes for one of the presenters named Marshal.
“I was very honoured to design a pair of shoes for Marshal, who is one of the board directors of Zim Fashion. I also designed a shirt for Farai who was one the presenters at the Zim Fashion Week,” said Edmore.
Edmore is also the designer behind the prestigious George Emmanuel College’s T-shirts and tracksuits.
“It was very humbling to design T-shirts and track suits for George Emmanuel College because of the school’s high standards. I managed to design for them though,” said Chagonda.
Edmore is very grateful to his sponsor, Fasil, who is from Pakistan for making his dreams come true in the fashion industry.
“I owe my success to Fasil who has been there for me financially. I have expanded my dreams and he still stands by me. I am a proud owner of Eddy Owen shoe collection.”
Edmore works from his fashion studio along South Avenue, and he hopes to excel in the fashion world.
