Youthful influential agricultural entrepreneur Terrence Maphosa will headline the next edition of the Venon Chamba Business Seminars scheduled for July 31, 2025.

Hosted by renowned business mentor and motivational speaker, Pastor Venon Chamba, the seminars motivate entrepreneurs and shape attitudes needed to succeed in business undertakings.

The seminar, which will run under the theme “Customer Intimacy and Building the Business”, will take place at Batanai Gardens in Harare.

Mr Maphosa, who is known for his innovative ventures and success in agriculture and rural tourism, will share his experiences and expertise, offering valuable lessons for aspiring entrepreneurs and business enthusiasts.

A young and successful entrepreneur from Village 6, Turf, Mhondoro Ngezi, has turned his struggles into success through innovative farming and business ventures.

After graduating with a degree in Political Science from the University of Zimbabwe, Mr Maphosa faced challenges finding employment, prompting him to return to his rural roots and start a poultry farming business in 2017, specialising in “roadrunner” chickens.

His business, KwaTerry Chickens, quickly gained momentum, and later diversified into goat farming in 2021. He opened a rural restaurant in 2022, serving traditional African dishes and offering a unique vacation experience.

Mr Maphosa’s entrepreneurial journey was built on a vision to unite people through agriculture and tourism, promoting self-reliance and community empowerment.

His positive impact extends beyond his business, as he advocates for grassroots solutions to local challenges and sustainable agriculture practices.

Recently, he was invited to speak at the UN World Food Programme in the US, highlighting his influence on rural development and sustainable agriculture.

Mr Maphosa’s story serves as an inspiration to many young people in Zimbabwe and beyond, demonstrating the potential of entrepreneurship and innovation in driving success and creating positive change.

The youthful entrepreneur’s vision extends beyond farming, as he aims to establish a premier rural tourist destination in Ngezi.

In an interview with the convener of the seminar, Pastor Chamba, Mr Maphosa demonstrated the attributes of a good role model for young entrepreneurs.

Pastor Chamba said the young man had ignited a spark in young minds across Zimbabwe, showcasing agriculture as a powerhouse of opportunity and innovation, and proving that with the right approach, it can be a game-changer.

“Terry is a good example of how youths can make it as budding entrepreneurs. Terry’s remarkable journey is a testament to the power of youthful entrepreneurship, proving that success can be achieved from humble beginnings with zero capital.

“His unwavering dedication and laser-sharp focus are the secret ingredients to his immense success, inspiring a new generation of entrepreneurs to follow in his footsteps,” said Pastor Chamba.

Pastor Chamba’s seminars focus on empowering young entrepreneurs to reach their full potential, believing they can become global leaders without boundaries.

According to Pastor Chamba, young entrepreneurs can reach their full potential if they are exposed to a supportive ecosystem that combines faith, protection and financial support.

The Venon Chamba Business Seminars, launched in 2023, have rapidly gained popularity, attracting a large and diverse audience nationwide.

These seminars provide young business owners with the tools and inspiration needed to thrive.
