UPCOMING dancehall chanter, Young Fantan, is proving to be a man of many talents after venturing into acting through captivating social media skits.
Born Nicholas Mubaiwa, Young Fantan (23), has become a hit with his social media skits, leaving his fans wondering whether he has abandoned his music for acting.
However, the “Ma Ex Munonzwa Neni” singer said this was just a strategic move.
“The skits are actually a strategic move to engage more with my fans at a deeper level.
“Inini ndoita maskits kuti ndigare ndiri muvanhu, uye kuti vanhu vasakanganwe face yangu.
“The bottom line is to appeal and interact with a large audience more intimately, leveraging social media as a tool to build a loyal following,” said Young Fantan.
He has also dismissed claims that he is a spent force.
“I am still the same entertainer and I don’t just mix the two even though the audience loves my other side.
“My music remains my primary focus and I will be releasing a new song on Tuesday titled ‘MaJealousy’, featuring Majesty.
“Handisanganisi music ne maskits, when I am on stage I give it my all and I also take a break kuma skirts while focusing on releasing new songs,” he said.
He added:
“Despite the fact that doing both music and skits allows me to connect with fans, they have also earned me a few endorsements with local businesses that approach me to advertise their brands.

Young Fantan said he doesn’t believe in dissing other musicians.
“I want to set the record clear why I have never registered for the cup clashes, inini I prioritise creating meaningful connections with audiences over competing with other musicians.”
