Young Mighty Warriors eye Namibia double

The Sithethelwe Sibanda coached outfit beat Namibia 2-0 last Friday before accounting for the hosts 2-1 on Sunday but found the going tough against regional powerhouse, South Africa who clobbered them 5-0 on Tuesday.

Tafadzwa Tunguro and Daisy Kaitano got the Zimbabweans’ campaign off to a positive start with a goal each against Namibia before Nyasha Munemo and Daisy Kaitano’s goals against Zambia secured another victory for the Zimbabweans.

In an interview from Zambia yesterday, Sibanda said the girls are fighting hard though the competition was tough.

“The competition is stiff but the girls have done extremely well. I think they will bring something home,” she said.

The final battle will be fought on Sunday with the games ending on Monday.
