“JOSEPH said to his brothers, ‘I am Joseph! Is my father still alive?’ His brothers could not answer him because they were dumbfounded before him.” Genesis 45:3.
In this story, Joseph was hated by his brothers, who sold him to the Ishmaelites. He became a slave in Egypt. However, God remembered him and he later became second-in-command to the king.
During the first Covid-19 lockdown, I heard a devotional sermon “God will reintroduce you”. It really ministered to me and l pray it will minister to you, too.
A time came when God reintroduced Joseph to his brothers and, at this point, they trembled at his presence.
Do not worry when people do all sorts of things to pull you down and frustrate you. There shall come a time, and definitely it is coming, when God will reveal Himself and reintroduce you to your enemies.
May God reintroduce you to the people who once did evil to you in such a way that they will wonder at your appearance.
Such is the life of most believers. We are despised, betrayed and crushed daily. It is not the end until God gives us another identity and reintroduces us.
At times we think we are forgotten, yet we are being repackaged for the next market. You are not forgotten; God is working out the testimony of your life. Be convinced that all He has planned for you will come to pass.
Isaiah 49:14-16 reads: “But Zion said, ‘The Lord has forsaken me, and my Lord has forgotten me.’ And the Lord answered, ‘Can a woman forget her nursing child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? Yes, they may forget, yet I will not forget you.’ Behold, I have indelibly imprinted you on the palm of each of My hands; your walls are continually before Me.”
You are not forgotten
In Christ, you are remembered. Dismiss the thought of rejection. Even if you are in prison, oh Joseph, you are not forgotten. Always see yourself in your heavenly Father’s divine embrace.
He is with you as you go through difficult times. He is your light, your salvation and your strength.
The God who was with you on top of the mountain is also with you as you walk through the valley.
The Lord who was with you in the “pit, prison, Potiphar’s house” will be with you in the palace. You are not forgotten.
