Youth 2 Youth Zimbabwe hosts International Workcamp

Youth 2 Youth Zimbabwe is hosting an international workcamp for young people from around the world, to be actively involved in projects for stimulating positive social change in Victoria Falls. The International Workcamp opened on June 9 and is expected to end on June 23.

The official opening of the workcamp saw the young people being educated on local tourism and how they should be part of it by the Ministry of Tourism and Hospitality Industry.

The organisers involved local community members and international volunteers to promote communities’ engagement and culture exchange.

The workcamp is being done in the context of promoting a self-awareness of our Zimbabwe culture, which is fast being threatened with globalisation.

Youth 2 Youth in Zimbabwe established in 1997, is a registered arts organisation with the National Arts Council of Zimbabwe, Zimbabwe Youth Council, Sport, Arts and Culture, Ministry of Tourism and Hospitality Industry, whose main objectives are to promote charitable Chapters for the benefit of the community, with particular interest to young people of Africa.  – CL Reporter
