Our youth entrepreneur of the week is Mr Wenceslous Nyamupfukudza (pictured), founder of Afrostain, an agribusiness extension and consulting company.
Mr Nyamupfukudza says the level of unemployment in his rural community and lack of technological exposure for agriculture within the marginalised communities was a major driver for him to have an eagle eye in business..
“I made a commitment that I shall create employment for the masses and that if I were to be formally employed, my community would not have to suffer big losses.”
He said in forming the company, everything was done through bootstrapping, “going from zero to one without any financial backing from any potentially viable funders”.
Proceeds from services were used to acquire technological resources that would allow to build the business.
He says his vision is to work towards painting the map of Africa green through agribusiness.
“The overall mission is to impact farming communities across Africa to fully realise their technological and financial well-being.
“For us, our game plan is continuous value innovation and continuous improvement on the services we’re offering, from land use and management planning, drone solutions, and geospatial data solutions.”
