WITHOUT a shadow of doubt the youth is the backbone of a community, the economy and the future in general.

The world over this population segment is the majority by numbers. That being said it becomes a strategic market population and ripe for carrying over yester year legacy.

Innovate
The young are the future and the future is innovation. Innovation is in all fields available. It is an unwritten law that the upcoming have the temperament to bring in new and fresher ideas onto the market.

Energetic
The exuberance that comes from this population segment is unparalleled and it’s just phenomenal. The amount of energy coming from this population segment is infectious to the entire community. The exuberance is just enough energy to drive economic activities.

Never afraid to fail
With time on their hands they can afford to fail as many times as possible and thus perfect their craft in the process. With time on their side, the younger they are the ample time to invest in all areas of their trade and come out rich in their expertise. Never procrastinate because time is on your side.

New minds, new ideas
They give a taste of the future. It is expected and it is the norm that the youth with a versatile mind are pregnant with new ways of doing business. The lazier they are the more an inventive mind to make life easier. You can’t teach old dogs new tricks but with new dogs you can really experiment all sorts.

They keep it real
They have pure intentions and have a straight forward approach to solving challenges. Thus no time wasted on delivering community solutions.

Impatient
The idea of not being patient allows them to solve challenges as quickly as possible as their attention span is limited. They never waste time in coming up with solutions as compared to their older counterparts. Laziness has encouraged youth to come up with solutions that solve challenges instantly to the benefit of society.

Health is wealth
The biggest asset is their health, which makes them have many man hours on their hands and that is productive time. These many hours are the bed rock for production, which is what society needs and for Zimbabwe it is critical to produce at this juncture.

Sad news
When we look at the statistics of the youth loans, youth health, youth accountability and responsibility it paints a very sad state of affairs. The bankrupt leadership traits exhibited. The shoddy work coming out of this major segment of our population is amazing. The youth is not palatable to hard work and lack the patience to grow businesses. How can the youth be the ones with so many defaults on loans?

The youth is ravaged with disease and irresponsible behaviour. How then can the youth be trusted with the future given the above scenarios? How do we then have faith in the youth when there is so much they are doing wrong? But one thing for certain we are not giving up on the youth.

Mentorship and incubation of entrepreneurs will see things changing for the better.

It is in the best interest of a community to fully invest in the youth to guarantee the stability of a community and reap good rewards of having a focused youth. Above all a positive willingness by the youth themselves will go a long way in changing the status quo.

We are imposing heavy fines on small poultry farmers who are not paying themselves a salary. This distorts their margins and gives wrong gross margins.

It doesn’t give the correct picture of their operations. As a farmer you need to give yourself a salary in line with your contributions to make sure there is separation between the operations and yourself. Please be warned about these offences because they affect the campaign on the financial well being of small operations in our communities.
