Youth team off to Stamford Bridge

2011 International COPA Coca-Cola Football Camp.
The training camp is slated to take place from September 24 to October 3 at the Crystal Palace National Sports Centre.
The Zimbabweans will be among participants from eight African countries to be exposed to high level coaching by Chelsea coaches.
The players were selected during the COPA Coca-Cola national finals at Mucheke and Marondera High in the past two years. Two players Shawn Kwaramba of Dewure High and Blessing Mhondera of Ngezi Barracks were dropped after they failed to secure visas.

Mona Karingi, Coca-Cola Brand Manager, said all the players were under the age of 17. Karingi said the players will have a chance to meet Chelsea stars like Didier Drogba, John Terry, Michael Essien, Frank Lampard and Fernando Torres.
“Players will also have a chance to tour and train at Chelsea’s training ground, Cobham,” Karingi said.
