Vice President Dr Kembo Mohadi has called upon the country’s youths to jealously guard the legacy and ethos of the liberation struggle.

Speaking at the Intergenerational Roundtable Summit today, Dr Mohadi said young people are the custodians of the country’s future.

The summit, organised by the Vision2030 Movement, was held under the theme “Economic Growth and Empowerment through Collective Action.”

“You remain the vanguard of our ideologies, our ethos, our pride, and our dreams. I urge you to protect, with utmost dedication, the legacy and values established during the liberation struggle.

“Let the spirit of courage and self-sacrifice that characterised the youths of my generation inspire you to undertake initiatives that can drive sustainable socio-economic development,” said VP Mohadi.

“Let the sacrifices of the past inform our actions today as we collectively strive to achieve the ambitious goals outlined in Vision 2030. Together, we must foster a more inclusive, equitable, and sustainable economy that benefits all.

“This roundtable is a crucial step in that direction. Let us leave here with renewed hope, actionable plans and a strengthened resolve to build the Zimbabwe we all envision and desire,” he said.

The summit aligns with the Government’s commitment to promote inclusive and sustainable development by creating opportunities and improving the livelihoods of citizens.
