The Zimbabwe Agricultural Society has postponed the Zimbabwe Agriculture Media Awards (ZAMA) 5th edition to a later date.
This was revealed in a statement by the organisers, Mejrkh Communications yesterday.
“The Zimbabwe Agricultural Society and Mejrkh Communications, the organisers of the Zimbabwe Agriculture Media Awards (ZAMA) have been postponed would like to inform the media fraternity and stakeholders that 5th edition of the awards, which had been scheduled to take place on 28 August 2025 in Harare, has been moved forward to a date to be announced,” read the statement.
“After careful consideration, the organising committee has resolved to postpone the event to a later date.”
This decision, the statement adds, has not been taken lightly, but has been necessitated by the need to finalise ongoing consultations with key stakeholders in the agriculture and media sectors.
“These engagements are critical to ensuring that the awards continue to reflect broad industry participation, credibility, and excellence,” said Mejrkh Communications.
“We are confident that by allowing additional time for these processes, the ZAMA Awards will be hosted under conditions that befit their stature and importance in celebrating professionalism, excellence, innovation, and integrity in agricultural reporting and broadcasting.”
They added: “We will communicate the new date once consultations are concluded, and we remain committed to delivering an event worthy of national pride.
“We regret any inconvenience this adjustment may have caused to stakeholders and the wider media community.”
Mejrkh Communications revealed that they have received a record 148 entries.
