ZIMBABWE’S Zambezi Eagles registered their second win at the Telkom Netball League Power Week One after beating Eastern Cape Aloes 49-47 in a close contest at the Sun City Superbowl.

The Zambezi Eagles had a jittery start in the opening quarter before the coaches made early changes and adjustments with rising shooter Thandazile Ndhlovu taking over from Sharon Bwanali.

And it paid off as they also moved Nicole Muzanenamo to goal attack from wing attack.

Muzanenamo replaced Ruvimbo Pawandiwa.

Faith Mutero took over from Muzanenamo.

The second quarter saw the two teams going toe to toe with the Zambezi Eagles fighting to turn the score in their favour and were 23-22 up going into half time.

The third quarter ended 36-35 in favour of the Zambezi Eagles. They sealed the win in the last quarter which was also tightly contested and the match could have gone either way.

For Ndhlovu, who has been nursing an injury, it was a good start as she went on to win Player of the Match.
