Zambia’s former President Lungu dies

Former Zambian President, Dr Edgar Lungu has died.

According to preliminary information obtained from the Patriotic Front, the former President’s political party, Dr Lungu was undergoing a scheduled health evaluation in South Africa when his condition reportedly deteriorated.

Member of Parliament and daughter to Dr Lungu, Honourable Tasila Lungu-Mwansa confirmed the sad development.

President Lungu served as Zambia’s Sixth Republican President from January 26th, 2015 to August 24th, 2021.
