ZANU PF has appointed Cde Thadius Pesanai Chadenga as the party’s new Director General, replacing Brigadier General (Retired) Ezekiel Zabanyana, who was reassigned.

Zanu PF Secretary General Advocate Jacob Mudenda announced the development in Harare this afternoon.

“I would like to inform you that Cde Zabanyana, who was our Director General, was relieved of his duties by President Mnangagwa and assigned elsewhere,’’ he said.

“We now have a new Director General, Cde Chadenga. He was appointed on October 6, 2025.”

Adv Mudenda said Cde Chadenga brings a wealth of experience in administration.

“He has been in the diplomatic service for many years and served in several countries,” he said.

“He is also a member of the Veterans of the Liberation Struggle.”

Cde Chadenga was a senior diplomat in the Americas, Europe, and Africa. He was also a senior officer in the President’s Department.
