ZANU-PF has congratulated President Emmerson Mnangagwa for his victory in the just-ended harmonised elections saying the win is a true reflection of his astute leadership and an endorsement of the trust that the people of Zimbabwe have in the Second Republic.
The Secretary for Administration of the party, Cde Obert Mpofu, in a statement, said President Mnangagwa has transformed the lives of Zimbabweans and has another five years to continue with the development mantra he set together with his administration.
“The trust and confidence imparted on you by the people of this great nation to lead them for another five years is a testament or the great works that your leadership has spearheaded in the new dispensation which have improved the lives of ordinary Zimbabweans.
Your delivery of incredible development in the country, leaving no one and no place behind has galvanised the critical mass in delivering your resounding victory in the just-ended elections,” said Dr Mpofu.
Dr Mpofu praised President Mnangagwa for revamping the administration machinery of the colossal Zanu PF party into what it is today.
“Your modernisation of our mobilisation trajectory has extensively consolidated our perennial mass-line tradition. Under the Second Republic, our all-embracing membership approach has been strengthened. You have revamped the administrative machinery of the Zanu-PF Party and ensured that corporate governance underpins the daily running of our organisation,” he added.
Dr Mpofu said President Mnangagwa is a visionary leader whose guidance and inspiration are guided by the Chitepo Ideological College which had led to the revamping of Zanu-PF as a party as a whole.
“Indeed, your vision, guidance, inspirational reorganisation of our party, and astute leadership guided by the Chitepo Ideological College has revamped the party, and culminated in strong — and well-organised structures which have ensured Zanu-PF’s victory.
With support from the First Lady and mother of the nation, Cde Dr Auxilia Mnangagwa through her commendable work in philanthropy and nurturing our people around ubuntu and Zanu-PF ethos, the people saw it fit to choose you to lead our nation once more,” added the Secretary-General.
He added that owing to the President’s strategic and long-sighted leadership, through Vision 2030, national development was most guaranteed.
“Under your visionary and astute leadership Zanu-PF is guaranteed of a longer stay in the hearts of our people and’ even a much longer stay in power. Once again, we congratulate and thank you for being the people’s choice and reaffirming the power of Zanu-PF as a bastion of democracy and a birthing custodian of constitutionalism in Zimbabwe,” he said. — @NyembeziMu
