The Zanu PF juggernaut continues to be on the roll in Masvingo with the ruling party having put in place over 10 000 cell structures as the party gears for 2023 polls.

The ongoing restructuring exercise involves building the party from lower tiers as Zanu PF pulls all the stops to register five million members by the time of next elections in 2023.

Party provincial chair Cde Ezra Chadzamira is optimistic the ruling party will maintain and even extend its dominance in Masvingo come 2023, saying the revolutionary party remains very solid at grassroots levels.

Cde Chadzamira noted that the party was on course to register 800 000 members in Masvingo by 2023, positioning President Mnangagwa and the ruling party to a crushing win in the 2023 polls.

Cde Chadzamira noted that a clean sweep for the ruling party was inevitable in the next elections judging by the successful execution of the ongoing restructuring exercise.

Zanu PF swept all but one of the 26 National Assembly seats in Masvingo in the 2018 polls.

Masvingo Urban constituency was the sole seat that Zanu PF failed to bag, but there is widespread enthusiasm that the seat will be reclaimed in the face of a resurgent Zanu PF and a crumbling opposition.
