Rufaro Stadium is filled to capacity this afternoon, with 42 000 party members attending the Zone 6 inter-district meeting, which is expected to provide conference feedback and introduce newly co-opted Central Committee members.
This is the sixth inter-district meeting in Harare.
Zone 6 consists of Mbare, Harare South, Southerton, Hunyani, and Churu Constituencies. Zanu PF holds three of the five constituencies.

Zanu PF Harare Provincial Political Commissar, Cde Voyage Dambuza said today’s meeting is part of the party’s mobilisation strategy.
“The crowd you are witnessing today was not brought in from other constituencies. They came solely from these five constituencies,” said Cde Dambuza.
At the centre of the inter-district discussions is a drive for sustainable economic empowerment.
Among the dignitaries in attendance are National Political Commissar, Cde Munyaradzi Machacha; Central Committee member, Dr Kudakwashe Tagwirei; Elders Council member, Cde Idah Mashonganyika; Presidential Advisor, Dr Paul Tungwarara; War Veterans Secretary, Cde Douglas Mahiya; Politburo member, Cde Omega Hungwe; and Harare Provincial Chairman, Cde Godwills Masimirembwa.
