WEDZA South National Assembly representative, Cde Tino Machakaire, yesterday donated a minibus to the Mugodhi Faith Apostolic Church, in fulfilment of last year’s pledge.
The bus was handed over by Wedza District Coordinating Committee chairman, Cde Stanley Mapako, who told congregants Zanu PF was the only organised political party in the country, which everyone should continue to rally behind.

He added that Zanu PF, which fiercely fought colonisers until they were defeated, ushering independence in 1980, had the capacity and zeal to see all Zimbabweans prospering in all aspects of their lives.
“Zanu PF is a well-organised party which has people’s interests at heart,” said Cde Mapako.
“As a party, we honour our promises to the electorate that’s why today we are here at Mugodhi Faith Apostolic Church.
“What we are witnessing today is testament to the party’s commitment to uplift the livelihoods of ordinary people at all levels.”

Cde Mapako said it was important for the party and its members to go back to the people and honour the promises they made as that would show gratitude to people.
“This shows that the ruling party is the only force that understands the problems facing the nation and has the capacity to address them without making empty promises,”
Zimbabwe is enjoying freedom of worship owing to the sacrifices made by nationalists who resolved to challenge colonisers on the battlefront to liberate the country.
“We now have numerous indigenous churches which operate within the country’s borders, praying for peace, development and prosperity,” he said.
Cde Machakaire promised to donate the minibus last year after Mugodhi Church youths engaged him saying they were facing transport challenges when carrying out their activities.
