A high-powered Zanu-PF delegation led by the party’s Secretary-General Advocate Jacob Mudenda is in Matabeleland South Province for an extraordinary Provincial Co-ordinating Committee (PCC) meeting aimed at strengthening party structures and programmes.

Adv Mudenda is accompanied by the party’s treasurer Cde Patrick Chinamasa, Political Commissar Cde Munyaradzi Machacha and Secretary for War Veterans of the Liberation Struggle Cde Douglas Mahiya.

Also present is the Zanu-PF Matabeleland South chairperson Cde Mangaliso Ndlovu, his deputy Cde Albert Nguluvhe, Politburo members, Members of Parliament and other senior party officials.
In his keynote address, Adv Mudenda outlined the roles and responsibilities of the Provincial Co-ordinating Committee in line with the party’s constitution, emphasising its importance in guiding party activities and development programmes in the province.

He also highlighted the significance of the PCC in ensuring effective coordination of party structures at provincial level.
Among the issues set for discussion during the meeting are resource mobilisation guidelines, prudential management of party affairs, and strengthening mobilisation efforts through the establishment of authentic party cells.

The agenda will also cover the participation of war veterans, ex-political prisoners, detainees and restrictees in provincial party programmes, among other organisational matters.
