Zanu-PF has adopted a development agenda to plough-back to provinces that host its annual national people’s conference, the party’s national chairman, Cde Simon Khaya Moyo, said yesterday. “We have been doing that every time we host our conferences. It is part of our development agenda.
“This is our way of thanking the host provinces. It’s part of our appreciation of the good work by the provinces,” said Cde Khaya Moyo.
Massive resealing of the highway passing through Chinhoyi town and rehabilitation of damaged roads in the suburbs at a cost of over US$2,6 million is almost complete, while a giant conference centre has been pitched up at Chinhoyi University of Technology grounds.
The party renovated Umzingwane High School in Matabeleland South in 2005, while massive sprucing was done to Goromonzi High School when the party held its conference at the school in 2006.
A huge conference centre was also constructed in Gweru,in the Midlands province last year to host the 13th annual national people’s conference.
