THE Zanu-PF Politburo meeting, which was scheduled for Harare yesterday, has been deferred to 10AM today at the party’s headquarters, the Secretary for Information and Publicity, Cde Simon Khaya Moyo, said.

Cde Khaya Moyo said the Politburo, which heralds the start of processes leading to Friday’s Zanu-PF Extraordinary Congress, would be followed by a Central Committee meeting at the same venue and time tomorrow.

“The Zanu-PF Politburo which was scheduled for today (yesterday) has been postponed to Wednesday 13 December 2017.  Consequently, the Central Committee meeting which was scheduled for tomorrow has been deferred to Thursday 14 December 2017 at the same venue and time.

“All members affected are advised to be seated by 10 AM on the respective days. Any inconvenience is sincerely regretted,” he said.

Cde Khaya Moyo said the revolutionary party was ready to roar and would emerge stronger after the Congress ahead of the 2018 harmonised elections.

The one-day Congress — running under the theme, ‘Consolidating the Gains of Zim-Asset through Unity, Peace and Development”, — will be held at Robert Mugabe Square in the capital, the venue of the 2014 6th National People’s Congress.
