Zanu-PF reaffirms commitment to community development

THE Zanu-PF leadership in Matabeleland South has reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining close ties with the electorate to address their needs and drive development initiatives.

Over the weekend, the ruling party leadership in Bulilima district, led by area legislator Cde Dingumuzi Phuti, hosted a community engagement gathering at Mbimba in Bambadzi Ward 10.

Speaking at the event, Zanu-PF Politburo member and Insiza Senator Cde Esther Nyathi commended the people of Bulilima for their staunch support for President Mnangagwa, Cde Phuti and Ward 10 Councillor, Sikhumbuzo Dube.

She urged party leaders to uphold their dedication to serving the community with dignity and respect.

“As party leaders, we should support the community that we serve with dignity and respect, which is critical,” said Cde Nyathi.

Cde Phuti highlighted several ongoing and planned development projects aimed at improving livelihoods in the area. These include the construction of Jutshume Clinic, the installation of a telecommunications base station in the ward, and the renovation of Bambadzi Primary School. He emphasised that such initiatives align with the party’s vision of uplifting rural communities.

In a show of solidarity, omalayitsha (cross-border transporters) representative Mr Roy Ndebele pledged to collaborate with the ruling party in driving socio-economic development across the constituency.

The event was attended by Matabeleland South Minister of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution, Dr Evelyn Ndlovu, who also serves as the Bulilima Proportional Representation MP.

Other notable attendees included Zanu-PF Veterans League political commissar Cde Ntombiyakhe Ndlovu, former Bulilima East MP Cde Mathias Ndlovu, Zanu-PF District Co-ordinating Committee (DCC) chairman Cde Felix Ncube and his committee, Headman Mbimba and scores of Zanu-PF supporters.
