Zanu PF members of staff today held a belated celebration of President Mnangagwa’s birthday at the party headquarters in Harare.

The staffers, led by director general, Brigadier General (Retired) Ezekiel Zabanyana, welcomed the ruling party’s First Secretary as he walked in to attend Zanu PF’s Politburo meeting.

President Mnangagwa thanked the members of staff for the gesture and had everyone in stitches when he said he still has 83 more years to live.

“It is not by design that I have lived to this day; it is God’s will that I have reached that age,” said President Mnangagwa.

Brigadier General (Rtd) Zabanyana said while the main celebrations were held in Zvishavane on Monday, they also had to celebrate with their principal.

“As members of staff, we are proud of your achievements. We would like to assure you that we will always support you,” he said.
